LRT Line 1 North Extension

Published by: Eron of Talk Loud | Dated: 3rd of April, 2009

LRT (Light Rail Transit) is the elevated railway system servicing almost thousands of Filipinos everyday. Who among us that happen to live before or up to now in Metro Manila did not have the chance to ride the LRT? The answer I guess is only a few. Today, the LRT that we knew which connects Baclaran, Pasay City and the Bonifacio Monument, Caloocan City will now have an extension.

The LRT Line 1 North Extension is one of the ongoing projects by the Philippine government. This extension is giving a continuous transportation from Monumento station of Line 1 up to North Avenue station of Line 3. The project is said to be done on February 2010 or earlier.

This project is good news for all the commuters that are battling their way on buses just to have a ride going to MRT’s North Avenue station but BAD news for the buses that are travelling along EDSA because they will surely loose a big amount of their daily income.

That looks like it is going to take a while to put together, thanks for the pictures. Is that a KFC ad I see in the background? ;)
