Hundred Million Pesos (P100M) to Hack the Automated Poll SystemPublished by: Eron of Talk Loud | Dated: 21st of April, 2009
The Automated Poll System is a technology for counting votes automatically. This system is using a poll counting software that is installed on a computer which is also connected via network and internet. This is what most of the Filipinos wanted to be done on the National Election. Many Filipinos think that with this system, it is much safer and faster to undergo the counting of votes. The months long will become a week or more only.
But some says that this system is not secure enough and it will only worsen the 2010 National Election. With this issue, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano encourages hackers to hack the system with an incentive of 100 Million Pesos (P100M). If hacking is successful then we will undergo to manual counting again.
For me, this is an ingenious plan. For a hacker to take this big amount is really worth a try. Yes, you have the money but on the other hand, you might also be a suspect on future hacking issues because you will uncover yourself on this to the public. I hope it won’t happen that way, good luck then.
