How to apply for Paypal?
Published by: Eron of Talk Loud | Dated: 20th of March, 2009Paypal is known to be the safest, fastest and secured way to transact money online. You can purchase items at ease using it. But Paypal as I know is not available in the Philippines, you cannot avail an account if you are residing in the Philippines unless you do have your own credit card. But getting a credit card is not that easy, because a lot of requirements should be presented before having one. Not for now, based on my own experience and I will share it how.

First of all you need to avail a card from Union Bank and it is called the Eon Cyber Account. This is not a credit card, it is a debit card. The application for this is very simple, just enroll online and choose the nearest branch of Union Bank to you (it is where you will get your card, take note of this). After getting the card, you will wait for a week for the activation.
Visit Paypal and apply now for an account using your activated Eon Cyber Account. Call the customer service hotline of Union Bank for the 4-digit number that Paypal gives after applying for an account. Just input the 4-digit number and your Paypal account is now activated. Easy as that, now you can shop online and transact as many items as you want.

i tried applying online but when i was prompted for my ATM number and PIN so i can proceed to filling up the enrollment form i always get this message box that says “Please enter a valid card number”. i tried it over and over again and i’m sure that the PIN and atm number i supplied were right but i still couldn’t get through it. i’ve read something about the atm number from a blog and it said to key-in your 16digit number, is that right? when i checked my card it has only 13 digits. did you have difficulty validating your ATM and PIN numbers from their online site at first?
