Are Fresh Graduates Welcome?
Published by: Eron of Talk Loud | Dated: 12th of March, 2009It’s the month of March again and newly graduates will arise. This is the best experience for every student has to come to his or her life. All of them will sets up to streets and other offices in Makati or Ortigas Center to find the right job for their long years of career learning. What offer would the career market have for them?

Sad to say is this, most companies just want applications from experienced candidates. They are not willing to train these fresh graduates from their different types of expertise. My question is this, are these companies thinking wisely or they are just setting up something stupid? Many would agree if these companies have already gained a strong foundation, that I would say having around a hundreds of employees working inside and with an above the market compensation. It’s easy; ask for experts if you can pay for experts but if not, then hire some fresh graduates. Because of these, how would these newly graduates start to practice their ways if they won’t be given a chance to do so.
Here’s another, a job fair has been organized to a certain location, what would they offer? Of course, the most known career today in the Philippines, customer service representatives (CSR) or the call center agents. I am not against this career path, because it is good (you earn money) but many of my colleagues that are inside these firms are mostly saying the same word, they were getting dumb “bobo”. I saw on news that some students are now not happy to see this kind of job offer, I guess they are now wisely enough to choose and say it on nationwide TV. Oh please, we can‘t imagine that the next generations of Filipinos are all getting dumb. How can we make bridges, buildings, roads, setting up a phone line and electric wires, help the sick, repair a vehicle and many more if all of our engineers, architects, nurses and others are just practicing foreign languages and not their own expertise or the courses that they have studied for years, what would happen next to the Philippines. I can compare this like eating a junk food, your hunger is relieve for the meantime but is it healthy? Is this healthy to our country?
Tip: Don’t apply personally it will just waste your time and money. Just apply online by sending them an email with your resume as an attachment and follow up a phone call to get that job interview you mostly wanted.

You gave a nice tip for jobsekeers there.
Thank you, I just want to help.
