That trait is the “close-family ties”. Even on modern days of cyber world we Filipinos continue on doing this. Before Friendster is our favorite social network website but now most of the Filipinos switched to Multiply. Bad thing about Friendster is that many identity thieves are signing up using identities of known personalities and celebrities cannot create an account due to these acts.
