The government again is giving out funds or money. This time it is for the engine conversion of public vehicles like jeepneys and taxis. A 1 billion peso fund will be given out for the drivers to convert their engines to bio diesel, LPG or natural gas compatible.

This new plan by the government is not for free, drivers or operators will pay this for a price of 80 pesos per day with no interest. They said that this is a one way solution to the unstoppable increase of oil price from the world market. After their engines been converted, drivers will eventually see the difference in price when they refuel. These new engines will serve very helpful for both the drivers and the operators of public vehicles.
