Let’s talk about this one. When you said avatar, it is the picture of yourself or any photos you like on thumbnail size. This cool avatar represents you to others. It gives you unique identity on the internet, especially when you’re using it on messengers like Yahoo Messenger, MSN or others.
You can now upload your own cool avatars and used it on blogs. Whenever you are posting comments to other blogs that had installed a Gravatar plugin, your own avatar will be publish as well together with you comment and this makes you unique. But first, you need to sign up for an account and start uploading your cool avatars and point it out to what email address you like to be used.

May I ask… Does Gravatar always appear automatically when you comment any articles?
Yes it will, every blog that uses gravatar plugin. Gravatar sticks with your email address.
